Handkerchief
I grew up in the Sixties, and every Sunday I would put on my dress,
short white gloves, hat and small purse. Inside my purse was always tucked
a Handkerchief or Hankerchief. My moms purse always had a Vintage handkerchief and Clorets and I
couldn't wait until I was old enough to add those also.

confused on tatting versus crochet so the pictures are the final word on whether or not the hanky is linen or cotton.

Linen |

Vintage Handkerchief, Handkerchiefs, Hanky or Hankie all are one and
the same thing. They were made in every color, for every occasion from
Christmas, Valentines, Easter, Children's. Many hours were spent
decorating a plain linen Vintage handkerchief or hankerchief with colorful thread with a crochet stitch
or tatting.
